Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students will be incoming freshman at YES Prep Northbrook High School. Northbrook High School is located 20 minutes from downtown Houston. My students will be new faces to me and I to them. However, I am sure they will be filled with energy, laughter, and individual talents. I am excited to meet my students who will fill the chairs in my classroom ready to learn!

My students will be fully engaged!

They will have group work, station work, and most importantly INTERESTING work. Their lessons will be geared to engage them and gain their interest so that they are fully bought in and learning! I am excited to begin this school year and I am sure they are too as high school freshmen!

My Project

These classroom posters and material will help make my classroom engaging for incoming freshman as well as allowing them to sit in a rich environment surrounded by posters that will help cultivate their learning! My hope is that these posters will serve as a reference for them throughout classroom activities that they can hold on to as they become older.

This is my first year as a teacher and I hope that the products I have chosen will give not only character to my room but also serve as a guide to my students that they can reference.

I am excited to begin this year of learning and meet my new students!
