My Project
As a speech therapist, I have the privilege of working with some of the most resilient, curious, and determined students in our school. Each child I work with brings a unique voice, perspective, and spark to our sessions. What I love most is their courage—whether it's trying a new sound, expressing a feeling, or simply showing up with a smile, they inspire me every day.
Many of my students face challenges with communication, which can impact their confidence and academic success.
A printer in our classroom would be a game-changer. It would allow me to create personalized visual supports, communication boards, interactive worksheets, and progress charts tailored to each student's needs. These resources help make abstract concepts more concrete and accessible, especially for students with speech and language delays or those who are nonverbal.
Having immediate access to printed materials means I can adapt lessons on the spot, reinforce learning with take-home activities, and celebrate progress with visual rewards. This not only supports their learning but also strengthens the connection between school and home.
