This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The kidney-shaped table will provide an ideal space for small-group instruction, personalized learning, and peer collaboration. This setup allows me to work closely with students to address their individual needs, whether they are practicing foundational skills, engaging in critical thinking activities, or receiving enrichment. Its design encourages face-to-face interaction, creating a focused, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas.

The primary goal of this project is to foster meaningful small-group learning opportunities that promote academic growth and engagement.

By using the kidney-shaped table, I aim to better support differentiated instruction, facilitate teamwork, and encourage active participation in lessons. Additionally, I want to create a welcoming space that helps students feel confident, valued, and excited about learning.

My first-grade students are curious, imaginative, and eager to learn. Each child brings unique talents, perspectives, and experiences to our classroom. They inspire me daily with their resilience, kindness, and enthusiasm. Whether they’re mastering new skills, exploring creative projects, or building relationships with their peers, my students continually show a thirst for knowledge and a desire to succeed. This table will be a stepping stone to help them achieve their full potential!
