My Students
I am the proud teacher of two special needs self contained preschool classes. The students in my classroom range from 2 years and 9 months to 5. This year my classroom contains students with Autism, Spina bifida, a shunt, Developmental Delays, Preschools Severe Delays, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorders and Speech and Language Delays. I service 26-30 students annually and sometimes keep the students for 3 years based on their individual needs. This is my 6th year teaching my amazing kids and I absolutely love it! The materials requested will not only service kids in my class this year but for many years to come!
My Project
We have many students that require sensory adaptive equipment to manage successful behavior in the classroom. Providing these resources will give them the regulation and tools they need to shape positive behavior and meet their sensory needs. It will help them focus and attend during both whole group and small group instruction so that they are getting the most out of their education! We are focused on meeting their needs as learners and helping them build the tools and knowledge they need to take their educational carrier to the next level.
