My students need resources for our geometry unit (2D and 3D shapes). This is a hands-on unit and these games and shapes would really make this learning more fun.
I teach Spanish in the Dual language program in Kindergarten and I have a wonderful group of kids that make my days full of joy. There are two classes, each with 24 awesome students. They all come from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds which makes everything more fun as we learn about different cultures, diversity and community values. Half of the group in native Spanish speakers and the other half native English speakers. We dance and have lots of fun learning together in the two languages (English and Spanish).
My Project
Your generous donations will make our Math center times fun and exciting for the students. Two tables would play Bingo recognizing the shapes and each time the teacher gets a shape asks different questions such as how many sides or vertices this shape has. Students can also have a competition to see who builds different shapes faster and mentioning their characteristics after building them. These are wonderful extra materials and activities to reinforce the theoretical knowledge with some practical and kinesthetic knowledge.
These resources will provide my students with some hands-on activities for them to develop their knowledge about 2D and 3D shapes in an interactive way.
Learning while playing makes knowledge easier to acquire, and I want them to enjoy every part of the learning process.
