it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the music teacher in my school, I work hard to make sure my band students have access to the best educational materials. Last year, we made the switch to "Essential Elements" as our primary method book in 6th grade beginning band, and saw huge leaps in music literacy! Students are reading and playing their music better than ever before. However, at the time we were only able to purchase Book 1 of the Essential Elements series. Now that these students are moving into 7th grade, they will need access to book Book 2 to continue their music education.
As a Title I school, with over 85% of our students living in poverty, many of our students do not have the means to provide these books for themselves.
I love the band students in our school. They work so hard to become the best at what they do, and they deserve the best educational materials we can provide for them. With your generous donation, you provide access to a high-quality musical curriculum that will not only benefit this year's students, but future students to come! Thank you!
