Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students in my class primarily speak Spanish because many of the kids have just recently moved to America. I have been welcoming new students weekly, so we need various learning materials. The Heavy-Duty Electric Pencil Sharpener will be helpful for our daily lessons. The Pencil Sharpener will also be great for both whole and small groups as well as art or special lessons where well-colored sharpened pencils are needed! The clipboards will allow the students to search for information during center time or outside activities. By using the portable writing surface of the clipboard students will feel comfortable to move around the classroom during Language Arts Center time to search words-activities such as rhyming words, finding cognates, or searching opposite words.
All children should have the necessary materials in class to learn.
The laminator will help to maintain, and protect the vocabulary words, children's artwork, signs, flyers, and schedules. The heavy-duty plastic folders will help each child store their classwork and homework. They must have a durable folder to store their work. The different Spanish books such as National Geographic Readers: Las Tortugas Marina will used to complement our in-progress library for Language Arts, science, and other subjects as lessons as they learn to read. The materials will be a benefit for my students
