This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Each year, we have a measuring unit and a shapes unit, but we do not have access to rulers for every student, nor do we have flashlights nor 3D shapes for each student to manipulate.

Without having the proper tools for these units, we are stuck in a tough place of needing to borrow here and there from other students or print off makeshift rulers.

By having access to these materials, my students will be able to grasp the content more effectively.

These units are very hands-on. It is impossible to measure without having the proper tool to do so just like it is very challenging to learn about faces, edges, and vertices of 3D shapes when students aren't able to manipulate them, count them, and have a hands-on learning experience with them.
