This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the bustling hub of my 7th and 8th-grade classroom, the need for a multifunctional workspace is paramount to fostering a conducive learning environment. That's why I am excited to introduce our DonorsChoose project to acquire an L-shaped desk, a versatile piece of furniture that will revolutionize our classroom dynamics.

At the heart of our educational journey lies the necessity for collaborative learning and efficient organization.

With the addition of the L-shaped desk, we envision a space where students can engage in group discussions, work on projects, and receive individualized support seamlessly. From facilitating peer-to-peer tutoring sessions to providing a centralized hub for classroom resources, this desk will serve as the cornerstone of our collaborative learning experience.

With a student body of 230 individuals, the impact of this desk extends far beyond its physical presence. It will not only enhance classroom functionality but also promote a sense of ownership and pride among my students. By creating a dedicated space for focused work and collaboration, we are empowering each student to thrive academically and socially, setting them on a path towards success in high school and beyond.
