My Project
We will use these books (differentiated Shakespeare classics) to conduct teacher-led whole-class text-to-self activities. We will read portions independently or along with the teacher (depending on our reading level), and then take comprehension quizzes on them. Then as a class, we will discuss the deeper context of the text. Topics included will be questions such as, How do you think the character is feeling? What would you do? What was the main idea of the chapter?
As I analyze this year's student data, comprehension is where my students are lacking.
Being able to conduct a whole class comprehension challenge will give my students the skills they need to prepare them for the ever-changing statewide assessment.
