My Project
The students at my school are hard-working, diligent, and insightful humans. We are also in an area where we get students from more rural areas as well as areas with high poverty levels, so my students have varying ranges of background knowledge and life experiences. My main goal in World Literature is to give them a bigger view than just their current circumstances and to help them develop a lifelong love of reading.
Having access to classic literature, like Shakespeare, is an absolute MUST, but only if my students can understand the text.
These No Fear Shakespeare editions of A Midsummer Night's Dream will help my World Literature students see the impact of Shakespeare on literature and how his works are still relevant (and inspirational) in the modern world.
