My Project
Our lemonade classroom vocation teaches real-world job skills, but some students with severe disabilities are currently unable to participate fully. To create an inclusive environment, we need a shaker cradle and a boba tea shaker—adaptable tools that allow all students, regardless of physical ability, to take part in mixing and preparing drinks. These devices will empower every student to engage meaningfully in our fully functioning lemonade business, promoting independence, confidence, and skill-building. Your support helps us ensure that every student has equal access to hands-on learning and vocational opportunities.
We plan to adapt the shaker cradle and boba tea shaker by incorporating assistive technology that accommodates the specific needs of our students with severe disabilities.
For students with limited mobility or strength, we’ll modify the shaker cradle to ensure it is easy to operate with minimal effort. The boba tea shaker will be fitted with larger, accessible handles or buttons, allowing students with fine motor challenges to grip and use it comfortably. Additionally, we’ll ensure that all devices are positioned at accessible heights and are fully adjustable, promoting independence and participation.
