My Project

Our fashion marketing students are diving headfirst into the exciting world of product development — and we’re doing it with a twist! To bridge creativity with business savvy, we’re launching a hands-on unit where students will design, prototype, and market their very own line of custom dolls and toys.

But to bring their ideas to life, we need your help.

We’re requesting yarn, stuffing, sewing kits, safety eyes, and other crafting materials to turn our classroom into a mini production studio. With these supplies, students will go through the full cycle of product creation: brainstorming designs, crafting prototypes, testing their creations, and preparing mock marketing campaigns.

This project will teach them The fundamentals of product design and development, Hands-on skills in textile construction, Basic branding and merchandising, and Collaboration and critical thinking through team-based creation.

Resources Requested:

Assorted yarn (various colors and textures)

Poly-fil stuffing

Safety eyes and doll joints

Sewing kits (needles, thread, scissors, thimbles)

Hot glue guns and glue sticks

By making and marketing their own dolls and toys, students will gain a deeper understanding of how creativity and commerce intersect — an invaluable lesson for budding entrepreneurs and future fashion leaders.

Our classroom is a vibrant community of future designers, marketers, and creative thinkers. Many of them are exploring the fashion industry for the first time, and this project gives them a real-world taste of what it's like to take an idea from concept to product. For students who learn best by doing, this experience is both eye-opening and empowering.
