Sewing and Creation: Desperately Needed Materials for Engaging Students

My Project
The project I'm presently running with my students involves them making stuffed toys from scratch using fleece and thread while following pre-existing patterns to create their works. This project has already been my most successful all year in terms of student engagement, as almost everyone is excited to learn a useful skill like sewing and many are excited to be making something they feel they can take home, either for themselves or for a family member.
These scissors have been desperately needed all project, but I haven't had the personal funds necessary to purchase them on my own.
These scissors would not only set my students up for success with this project, but also with future sewing projects as I intend to set this set aside for future sewing projects exclusively to prevent dull scissors from causing issues in the future.
My students, who are 99% Black and a number of whom are also low income, have really struggled to engage with the arts at all this year, and the fact that they've been so excited about this particular project gives me hope that we might finish out the year on a good note so long as we can work through the issues with a lack of functional scissors at present.
