I've been an educator in the same school district for over 20 years. During my career, I have found our students to be very creative people, who are open to new educational experiences. They want to try new things, even if just to say that they tried it.
As a first year Family and Consumer Science teacher, I am hoping to provide my students with an experience with sewing. Thanks to the generosity of family and friends, I have a lot of scrap fabric and buttons.
For those students who would like to try a larger project or a machine project, I would like to be able to offer them pre-cut projects to try or a small machine.
There are so many project ideas on the internet that students can try, if we only have a few sewing machines available.
