My students are awesome, lively people. Our school is a neighborhood school so they are all walkers from the surrounding city blocks. 99% of my students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch and all of them eat breakfast in the classroom in each morning.
My students are between the ages of 5 and 7 and are eager to learn and share with others.
They are enthusiastic about school, learning, and making friends. It is my wish to keep them excited about school and learning by eliminating as many obstacles as possible.
These materials will provide my students with the tools they need to create an interactive notebook and the ability to create a space for productivity. The markers, crayons, paint, and notebooks will be used to document their learning and create portfolio pieces, while the stools and floor cushions will allow my students to explore and discover how they work best. My students will use the markers and crayons to learn about outlining and shading, we will also use the markers as an author's final copy pen. I am eager to see the impact of flexible seating on my students' performance and motivation.
