This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a fun and inspiring group of students. I teach a CE SDC class which consists of students with IEP’s. The students in my classroom are diagnosed with emotional disturbance (ED), and many are also diagnosed with autism and ADHD. These students work hard and overcome difficult obstacles on a daily basis. I have a max caseload of 13 students where age ranges from 13-20 years. These students have great emotional needs and can use any extra supports help them transition into life after high school.

My Project

This Apple MacBook Pro laptop will make a huge difference in my students education because laptops for use are very scarce at our school.

My students need a laptop that they know will be in the classroom for use whenever they need one.

The Macbook will also allow my students to explore editing software so they can explore the fields of film and photo editing. This project will allow our students to not only access general education curriculum, but give them the chance to explore more career options. My students will be able to rely on this computer to use when needed for academic projects.
