My Students

I work at a high-poverty school, but that does not stop my students from eager to learn each day they enter my classroom. I have 21 students, and sadly Oklahoma has put education funding on the back burner. It is hard to keep classroom materials and technology up-to-date with no financing.

I am curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any challenge.

When they come into my classroom, they expect to learn, grow, and most importantly, feel loved and appreciated. Thank you for supporting my students!

My Project

My students spend a lot of time working in small groups, and I have many students who focus better when they have a place to stand or move around during class. I try to provide a lot of time to collaborate, break apart for instruction or independent work, and collaborate again.

The standing desk will be in the back of the room where the students can wiggle or stand without distracting others.

The podium will also be used for students to model their work in front of the class; this allows them to place their work while they speak.
