Help me give my students expanded and creative opportunities by having a classroom library that includes short theatrical plays and critical thinking opportunities that inspire students through adaptive theater. They will "accidentally" learn while playing.

My Project
My students are eager to learn. Creating a supportive and interactive space for them is vital to their learning and comprehension.
Getting students involved in deeper reading will occur through our "10 Minute Plays," helping them gain a better understanding of the use of language by participating in classroom theater.
This will build social skills, confidence in their own abilities, and get them involved in creating and adapting learning spaces. In addition, parents and families will be involved in assisting students to create stage sets and costumes for 2 plays that the students will perform for family and faculty during the course of the school year.
They will learn about the environment, habitats, and needs for specific animals from our National Geographic set of books. We can use the information learned here to support our theater activities by using animal characters instead of humans for one of our plays.
Students focus and perform better in academics when they have full tummies. A stocked snack center will mean that students have access to nutrition and snacks that will keep them going through the day.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
