Our children come from various backgrounds in a small community where there is not a lot for them to do except to participate in sports. We have 77% or more students who receive free or reduced-price lunches. They are grateful for any and all support.
My Project
Our track and field team members need new equipment to compete and practice safely. Their equipment is very old and is falling apart. They are very hard working and compete at the State level every year. This year they have added the elementary grades for several meets. They compete at meets where individuals are allowed. This new equipment would help them as they start to enter more events. It would also help our more experienced members to develop their technique. The new equipment would also help in developing an elementary team because they would have adequate safety and training equipment.
