This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how enthusiastic my students are about learning to play their instruments and making music together! My middle school band students are eager to improve, but many face challenges due to worn-out mouthpieces and a lack of proper learning materials.

This project will provide much-needed mouthpieces for our woodwind and brass players as well as Essential Elements band method books to guide their learning.

Right now, some students are struggling with old, damaged, or shared mouthpieces, which affects their ability to play correctly and comfortably. Having their own quality mouthpieces will help them produce a better sound and build confidence in their playing. The Essential Elements books will provide a structured, engaging way for students to develop their musical skills, reinforcing everything we learn in class.

My goal with this project is to give my students the resources they need to succeed in band—ensuring they have access to high-quality mouthpieces for better tone production and method books that support their growth as musicians. Your support will make a real difference in their learning experience, helping them feel prepared, confident, and excited to play!
