it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Reading today can take many different forms. With the rise in popularity of graphic novels and manga more and more students are gaining a desire to read. The main struggle for these students is finding these novels since they have only recently become popular and libraries have started adding them to their collections. This means that students are only given a limited selection to pick from.
I want to provide my students as much opportunities to read as possible.
Any type of reading is good for student growth. In my classroom I have my personal collection of manga and graphic novels for students to check out. Yet for some students it is not enough. They will read through it all, yet can not find more. We are in a small town with no bookstores, so my classroom and the school library are all they have access to. I want to do want ever I can to grow their love of reading and your help can do that. This donor's choose will add to the growing collection in my classroom and become available for all students to check out.
