My students need items to continue building their school cafe. As the school cafe becomes more popular, we find ourselves outgrowing our current supplies.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Brown's classroom raised $253

My Students
As a special education teacher in an alternative school, I see students daily who are faced with several challenges, both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, my students are eager to learn both academics and life skills in order to create for themselves a better life.
My students are forever learning life skills that they can carry with them outside of the classroom.
Because of their low socioeconomic status and the fact that many are being raised in single parent households, many of my students are not provided with the life experiences many of us see as "typical." From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. Although I cannot control their home lives and their lives outside of school, I can certainly control their experiences during the school day. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire them to become productive members of society.
My Project
The materials requested in this project will allow my Special Education, Occupational Students continue to expand their culinary experiences through our staff cafe. We are expanding to begin providing lunch to our staff twice monthly and we need various supplies.
As we are expanding our offerings and lunch menu items, we are outgrowing our current supplies.
The table cloths and serving supplies will give them the needed boost in confidence and pride in displaying their culinary skills. We also need the necessary cleaning supplies, including the laundry pods, dish detergents, sponges, and drying mats to keep our supplies clean and sanitary.
