My students are special because, in spite of the circumstances, I still see life-changing potential in them. Their eyes say, "I'm interested!" and their hands say, "I can do it." Showing up for class time after time says, "I want to!" while their circumstances say, "I need to."
Many of the students at my school are not in an academic position to attend college, even if they aspire to do so.
The students at my school are multicultural and diverse in every sense of the word. A large percentage of the students receive free lunch and must use public transportation to get to the campus.
Since I teach a skill, my students are not in a financial position to obtain the necessary tools needed to practice the skills being taught.
My Project
These particular supplies such as a tool sterilizer cabinet, and training lashes, will enhance the students' ability to increase their knowledge of trending services such as individual eyelash placement and nail art. We are committed to preparing the students for the workforce, and servicing the general public.
These supplies will give them the opportunity to learn and offer a service that is considered a specialty in the cosmetology industry.
This will put the students that are fond of make-up artistry ahead, and pique the interest of the students that were not originally interested in the make-up component of cosmetology. This training will help the students become an asset as they join the workforce with confidence.
