This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The goal of this project is to acquire enough volleyball equipment so more students are able to participate in the sport. The desire for volleyball participation is growing in our school, and we currently do not have the resources to support this demand. Acquiring new volleyball equipment will significantly benefit our diverse group of middle school students, both during gym class and in afterschool programs. With additional equipment, more students will have the opportunity to engage in the sport, improving their physical fitness, teamwork, and communication skills.
In gym class, this means every student can actively participate in drills and games, ensuring that no one is left out due to limited equipment.
For afterschool programs, having enough volleyballs and nets would allow teams to practice more effectively, fostering a stronger sense of community and school spirit. Ultimately, expanding our resources will create an inclusive environment that supports students' interest in staying active and involved, both during school hours and after school.
