Serious About Series!

My students need engaging books series, such as Junie B. Jones and Magic Tree House, to enhance their passion for reading. They love connecting with characters, solving mysteries and challenges, and discussing books with their friends!

My Students

My students have fallen in love with reading and the people they meet, places they visit, and adventures they encounter through books! I want to stock my classroom library with as many wonderfully exciting, challenging, and engaging books as possible, in the hopes that my students will not only embrace reading and learning, but embrace others and the world around them.

My second graders attend a collaborative, diverse, and creative public school in Brooklyn, NY.

We teach our students to be intellectually curious learners, socially responsible citizens, and dynamic problem solvers.

My Project

My students truly love reading and are so excited to dive into chapter books this year in second grade! They typically have 45 minutes of independent reading time in the classroom each day, as well as 20-30 minutes of reading at home, so acquiring new book series' for them to explore and engage in will only further their independence and reading skills!

Becoming more fluent, independent readers is a major goal for their second grade year.

Having chapter books, especially those in a series, readily available to them will help foster their love of learning. Having a variety of topics from which to choose will also help them develop their tastes and interests, too!
