My students are absolutely amazing. They come to school every day excited to learn and grow. Our school and team is a very special place; everyone is there for the same reason which is for the children.
My students come from all walks of life, but most of my students come from poverty.
No matter what is going on in their lives, they all come to school with a smile on their face and ready to learn. I want to give my students many opportunities they may not get at home.
My Project
I have recently began a series reading program within my classroom! With this program, students are able to gain interest in reading when they find a series of books they are interested in and are able to fully enjoy! These different sets of fiction books will continue our series collection! Students will be able to pick up the first book of a series and work their way through the entire book series. Students can enjoy how the characters grow and change as well as take the them on a variety of different adventures. My students are loving this new reading program and are reading through the books so quickly! I love seeing their excitement when they tell me they are ready for their next book! Some titles are: Amelia Bedelia and the Magic Tree House Series.
