I have a great group of students who love to learn. They are your average 4th-grade students. They love to read and do projects. They talk a lot because they have so much to share. They love being creative and sharing their work and their interests with each other.
I am lucky that my students are so hardworking and want to do their best on everything.
They push themselves and each other to work harder and be their best. I enjoy being with them every day and watching them grow and mature academically as well as socially.
My Project
My students love to read. They are motivated to choose great books, and they follow through to finish the books. Our classroom library has many books that are the first book in a series. I have found that the students get so excited about the a book series when they finish the first book, but then the second and other books in the series are not available through our school library.
I would love to get more copies of the books in a series to get the students excited about finishing a whole series.
Having extra copies of the first books in some series as well as copies of the second and third books will allow the students to read and discuss the books with other students. I love to hear them having conversations and discussions about the books as they read or as they reflect on what they have read in the past.
