Sequoyah, Series, and Stories for All! Books as Prizes
Help me give my students books that will make them forever readers! From the Oklahoma Sequoyah nominees to popular Young Adult literature, you will be providing them with books that will foster a love for reading!

My Project
As my first year in a library, I have seen students who love to read find new genres that interest them, and students who hate to read find graphic novels that they can't put down. Seeing a junior high student enjoy reading and visiting the library is such a joy.
I have many plans for my library, such as competitions and give-aways!
But I am missing the prizes. Students would love to have books on hand that they can earn.
For example, students have been tasked with creating bookmarks for the library. Their designs will be voted on by staff and students, picking a winner for each grade level. The winners of the contest would receive a book as their prize! Students who participate in our school-wide Sequoyah challenge this year by reading 4 or more of the books would also get to receive giveaways.
Included in the materials requested, I have added this years Sequoyah Nominees. Each year, the Oklahoma Library Association chooses 15 books that they deem award winning. By adding these to my DonorsChoose project, students will have the opportunity to read these amazing books and have a copy at home. The books purchased through this DonorsChoose project would be used strictly for rewards and reading fluency throughout the school year.
