Sensory With a Mission!

Help me give my students sensory toys to stimulate their interest while they play with sand, water and other sensory materials.

My Project

My students are an adorable bunch who love coming to school and are always ready to get down and dirty. One of the areas in our classroom is the sensory table which we circulate filling with sand, water, pompoms, and other sensory materials. Young children are naturally drawn to sensory stimulations since it is their way of exploring the world around them. It is also a crucial part of their development, and those who do not receive sensory integration opportunities can have negative consequences in their future years of development.

These tools requested will allow my students to enhance their sensory exploration as they build, explore, and investigate the sensory area.

They will be able to use different rolling pins to roll out clay, slime, and play dough. They will be able to build castles, tunnels, and skyscrapers as they use pails, shovels, and rakes. The possibilities which these sensory tools are endless!
