This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I serve a diverse student population with a variety of needs that require specialized academic instructions in grades TK-5th grade. Many of the students in my class have IEPs, but all of them are struggling to perform at grade level and require explicit instruction and intervention to make progress. Many of the students require a multi-modal and hands on approach learning to make academic progress. With your help, the students in my classroom can have access to a variety of sensory tools like noise reduction headphones and stress balls to assist them with focus in the classroom and access to hands on math games to practice skills, build number sense, and mathematical fluency.
