My Students
My students are passionate, excited to learn, and full of questions. They love coming to school every day and immersing themselves in learning. They love anything and everything hands on in the classroom to show their creative and out of the box thinking. All of my students are English Language Learners and push themselves every day in the classroom to succeed.
My students are enthusiastic, loving, creative, and eager to try new things and challenge themselves every single day.
They support each other and help create an environment in the classroom that is welcoming and enjoyable for each and every person that comes into the room.
Each child in my class loves learning, although each student learns in their own way and has their own needs. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, seating, and learning options that ensure each student is met to where they need it! I am so lucky to have these students in my life that are always up for any challenge and to learn new things each day!
My Project
Sensory tools can be used in several different ways that benefit learners in the classroom. Tools such as wobble cushions and sensory balls can help children regain focus and attention when learning. These tools would be particularly beneficial to my students who need a space or tool to help them self-soothe and regulate their emotions. Many of my students have difficulty coping with and regulating their emotions in an appropriate way. These tools will allow for my students to sit and engage in the learning in an effective way.
I'm requesting wobble cushions and sensory tools such as balls that can be used to relieve any stress in my students, as well as increase their focus and engagement while learning.
