Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sensory tools allow my students to regulate their body and make the choices that work best for them. Throughout the day, my students are given opportunities for sensory time that help them reset and regulate themselves to be successful for their day.

My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given access to a variety of sensory tools and activities.

The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional sensory input during their day. Weighted Lap Blankets are an easy and effective tool that can be used in multiple settings throughout the day. A swivel stool is a great way to deliver vestibular input for students.

I have seen how sensory integration can positively affect my students success and behavior and hope that the additional options will help us even more!
