This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in a preschool, special education class and are ready to learn and explore their environment. All of my students live in a low-income community in the Los Angeles area. My students have different types of disabilities ranging from autism spectrum disorder, speech and language impairments, and intellectual disabilities. All of my students are full of energy and eager to learn every day. They always show up with the most positive attitudes and are ready to learn!
My Project
We will use the sensory toys to play with the water table .My students will use the float find alphabet bubbles to be introduced to the alphabet as they enjoy the water table. This activity will be used to learn the alphabet, but also as a sensory activity they can use to calm them down.
The student will also enjoy the alpha bots to play in the class with their peers.
They will also review the alphabet with these manipulatives.
We will have sensory activities as we play the Greg and Steve CD's in the class.Music helps my student calm down and refocus on the activities in the classroom
Nearly all students from low‑income households
