My Project

I would love to create a sensory center in our classroom for my students. A Sensory Table is a great way for children to learn how to independently explore the world around them, problem-solve, develop creativity, and refine conversational skills. My plan would be to change it out with our themes each month.

Children learn through their senses.

A sensory table improves children's sense of touch which helps them perceive their environment accurately. Exposure to a variety of textures improves children's development of fine motor skills. I am also asking for Kinetic Sand, The Original Moldable Play Sand to start with. They will be able to find, identify, and match letters, words, numbers that I will add into the table.
