My Project
I currently teach three and four year old students with special needs. My students have a variety of disabilities from autism to speech/ language impairments. The sensory table is a highlight in our classroom. The students love playing with sand as it is relaxing and fulfills their sensory needs. We have a themed curriculum with different monthly focuses in our school.
To engage my students in different curriculum themes, I would like to provide them with an opportunity to work with different types of materials in the sensory bin that are related to the unit.
This will help build their vocabulary while they receive the sensory input they need.
