Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students thrive on hands-on, sensory-rich activities, and I am eager to create a more dynamic and engaging learning environment by introducing sensory fillers such as kinetic sand and rice, construction toys, molds and design and build blocks. Along with fillers, I'm also asking for manipulatives that will make letter and number recognition that much for exciting!
With your help, I can provide my students with a multi-sensory hands-on experience that will not only help with practicing number and letter recognition, but also helps them practice cognitive skills, language development, fine motor skills, creativity, imagination, emotional regulation, and social skills.
With kinetic sand, I can create a hide-and-seek type of experience where my students can dig to discover letters and numbers. The float and find manipulatives along with the floating blocks will help convert our sandy sensory adventure into a water wonderland.
