Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with a wonderful group of 4th and 5th grade students in a small class setting. Through Donor Choose I have been able to provide my students with a comfy reading nook. I would love to add to that area and provide some sensory items for my class to make this space even more functional. Items like a sequin wall can be used to help students calm down or even express their feelings without using words, which can be hard. Sensory stickers can be used on their desks or even Chrome books to help them focus. In addition, I would love to add chair rubber bands to the bottom of all of my students chairs so that they can have some leg movement while still being able to sit and focus on a lesson.
