Having a mobile dry erase board has been wonderful. My co-teacher and I are easily able to move it around the room, which helps us with our teaching and truly impacts our students learning experience. \r\nWe are able to work with smaller groups of students to make sure they are really grasping the concepts that are being taught. \r\nThe bigger colored erasers are great for our tables and the fact that they are different colors is perfect because we are able to color coordinate them based on the table in which out students sit. On top of having access to the bigger erasers, we were able to also give students their own personal erasers. \r\nAgain, we are all so grateful for all the support we have been given to get this project done. These materials immediately transformed our lessons into hands-on, interactive learning experiences that keep my students engaged in ways traditional instruction simply can't.\r\nThe game buzzers have been especially powerful. Many of my students struggle with attention, social communication, or confidence during group activities. The buzzers gave them a structured, exciting way to participate. The looked forward to participating in games and even encouraged their peers to be competitive and participate. It allowed me to check for understanding in a way that was fun and purposeful. Students who are usually hesitant to speak out became eager to answer questions, celebrate correct responses, and cheer each other on. The buzzers turned review activities into team games that encouraged turn-taking, sportsmanship, and expressive communication—skills that are essential for my learners.\r\nThe maps have opened doors for geography and social studies lessons that are much more concrete and meaningful. Instead of only seeing places in a book, my students can touch, trace routes, identify states and countries, and visually connect concepts like direction, distance, and world cultures. This tactile support makes abstract concepts accessible for diverse learners, especially those who benefit from visual and hands-on instruction.\r\nEven the batteries made a bigger difference than most people realize—they ensured that our new tools were ready to use right away and remain reliable during daily lessons. Having everything powered and accessible allows me to keep routines consistent, which is crucial for my students' success.\r\nOverall, these donations helped bring energy, enthusiasm, and deeper understanding to our classroom. They made learning feel like an adventure, and they gave my students opportunities to shine academically and socially. We are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1758202838848,"projectUrl":"project/super-interactive-social-studies-and-sci/9682116/","projectTitle":"Super Interactive Social Studies and Science!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Oliver - Alford","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10241669_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757427470800","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10241669"},{"teacherId":9082911,"projectId":9680013,"letterContent":"I want to extend my deepest thanks for supporting our project, \"Empowering 8th-Grade Math Students with TI-30 Calculators.\" Thanks to your generosity, my 8th-grade math students now have the tools they need to explore and master concepts in algebra, equations, and problem-solving with confidence.\r\n\r\nThese calculators have made a noticeable difference in our classroom. These new resources have already made a huge difference for my students. We've been using them daily in math class. Students work out problems in small groups, share their strategies, and then compare solutions. One of our favorite activities has been \"math rotations,\" where each group tackles a different problem on their board and then rotates to add on to another group's work. It's been incredible to see how much more collaborative and engaged they are when they can stand, write, and interact with each other's ideas.\r\n\r\nWhen the whiteboards first arrived, the excitement was immediate. My students couldn't wait to try them out, and several even said, \"This feels like we're real mathematicians!\" The energy in the room was contagious, and it's clear that these boards have given them both a sense of ownership and joy in their learning.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible. It's wonderful to have a dedicated section of the room to display the agenda, teaching points, vocabulary words, and examples. Having this space for such integral parts of the classroom is truly transformative. While we still use the Promethean board for lessons, having a board to demonstrate and model math makes a huge difference. The students are thrilled to write on it themselves, sharing the strategies and techniques they use to find solutions.\r\n\r\nIt is truly appreciated — it allows us to expand our thinking and use the classroom space more effectively, rather than being limited to just one section. With the two boards positioned to encourage movement, students can engage with the entire classroom as they work.\r\n\r\nWe will continue building collaboration and confidence with these boards. We use it every single day during our FUNDATIONS lessons and math blocks — it's where the magic happens. One of my favorite moments was when we were working on sound-alike words. The students were busy copying them into their FUNDATIONS workbooks, and then I flipped the board over to introduce \"111 words.\" Their faces lit up as we practiced spotting them and learned the trick of doubling the last consonant before adding a vowel suffix. We even used it to model tricky three-digit addition and subtraction — suddenly, those big numbers didn't seem so scary anymore!\r\n\r\nWhen the whiteboard first arrived, the students were totally shocked — you could practically hear the collective \"ooooh!\" across the room. But once I showed them everything it could do, the excitement was contagious. They couldn't wait to grab a marker and try it themselves. Now, it's our go-to spot for learning, sharing, and even a little friendly competition when solving problems.\r\n\r\nNext up, we'll be using the whiteboard to model how to write letters to our future selves (I can already tell it's going to be adorable), and we're diving into four different multiplication strategies — which means lots of colorful drawings and \"aha!\" moments ahead. Thanks to this new addition, our classroom feels more alive, interactive, and full of curiosity than ever!","fullyFundedDate":1758898726832,"projectUrl":"project/write-and-learn-support-our-whiteboard/9746427/","projectTitle":"Write and Learn: Support Our Whiteboard","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Penzzi","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9973444"},{"teacherId":7577993,"projectId":9247353,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my project. \r\nMy students this year truly love to read. \r\n\r\nThe Dogman books have been a great addition to our library.
