Having a mobile dry erase board has been wonderful. My co-teacher and I are easily able to move it around the room, which helps us with our teaching and truly impacts our students learning experience. \r\nWe are able to work with smaller groups of students to make sure they are really grasping the concepts that are being taught. \r\nThe bigger colored erasers are great for our tables and the fact that they are different colors is perfect because we are able to color coordinate them based on the table in which out students sit. On top of having access to the bigger erasers, we were able to also give students their own personal erasers. \r\nAgain, we are all so grateful for all the support we have been given to get this project done. Many of my students struggle with attention, social communication, or confidence during group activities. The buzzers gave them a structured, exciting way to participate. The looked forward to participating in games and even encouraged their peers to be competitive and participate. It allowed me to check for understanding in a way that was fun and purposeful. Students who are usually hesitant to speak out became eager to answer questions, celebrate correct responses, and cheer each other on. The buzzers turned review activities into team games that encouraged turn-taking, sportsmanship, and expressive communication—skills that are essential for my learners.\r\nThe maps have opened doors for geography and social studies lessons that are much more concrete and meaningful. Instead of only seeing places in a book, my students can touch, trace routes, identify states and countries, and visually connect concepts like direction, distance, and world cultures. This tactile support makes abstract concepts accessible for diverse learners, especially those who benefit from visual and hands-on instruction.\r\nEven the batteries made a bigger difference than most people realize—they ensured that our new tools were ready to use right away and remain reliable during daily lessons. We use it every single day during our FUNDATIONS lessons and math blocks — it's where the magic happens. One of my favorite moments was when we were working on sound-alike words. The students were busy copying them into their FUNDATIONS workbooks, and then I flipped the board over to introduce \"111 words.\" Their faces lit up as we practiced spotting them and learned the trick of doubling the last consonant before adding a vowel suffix. We even used it to model tricky three-digit addition and subtraction — suddenly, those big numbers didn't seem so scary anymore!\r\n\r\nWhen the whiteboard first arrived, the students were totally shocked — you could practically hear the collective \"ooooh!\" across the room. But once I showed them everything it could do, the excitement was contagious. They couldn't wait to grab a marker and try it themselves. Now, it's our go-to spot for learning, sharing, and even a little friendly competition when solving problems.\r\n\r\nNext up, we'll be using the whiteboard to model how to write letters to our future selves (I can already tell it's going to be adorable), and we're diving into four different multiplication strategies — which means lots of colorful drawings and \"aha!\" moments ahead.
