My Project
Many of our elementary school students need support with sensory regulation. Sensory tools can be calming, provide needed movement or tactile support, and help students focus.
Our kids are learning how to request and utilize sensory tools to meet their individual learning needs.
The balance balls and wobble cushions will provide students with flexible seating options that enhance focus while engaging in academic tasks and counseling activities. The bouncy bands for desks and chairs will support students who need extra movement opportunities while engaging in seated tabletop activities. We are requesting a variety of exciting and colorful tactile hand fidgets that will allow students to keep their hands busy in a safe way. The headphones, beanbag chair, and weighted lap pad/ blankets will be used to start a calming corner for our students that become overwhelmed in overstimulating environments. I know that these supplies will make a significant difference in our students' ability to engage in academic and social-emotional activities in school. Thank you for your support!
