Many of my students experience sensory processing challenges, which can make it difficult for them to focus, self-regulate, and engage in learning activities. To address these needs, we are seeking to provide a variety of sensory tools, including chewy tubes, stress balls, sensory balls, slow-rising pressure balls, and other tactile items.
These sensory tools play a crucial role in helping our students manage their sensory input, reduce anxiety, and improve their concentration.
Chewy tubes, for example, provide a safe outlet for oral sensory needs, helping students stay calm and focused. Stress balls and sensory balls offer tactile stimulation and help students self-regulate when they feel overwhelmed. Slow-rising pressure balls are particularly effective in providing a soothing and calming effect, allowing students to release tension in a controlled manner.
The goal of this project is to create a supportive and responsive learning environment where every student feels comfortable and able to participate fully. By offering a variety of sensory tools, we can meet the diverse needs of our students, helping them to stay engaged and focused throughout the school day.
