Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach all the students at my school. There are some classes that need extra support for their sensory needs. I would like to supplement my materials in the class with three more weighted blankets so that anyone who wants one can use one and another weighted stuffy, another popular support item.
The students get journals in third grade and they keep them through fifth grade when they take them home.
I am always in need of more.
We will use pin wheels with kindergarten to demonstrate long exhales. The read aloud is to support SEL lessons. The paper hearts we will use to display what we are grateful for on our board. And the watercolor will be used to create our 4th grade art project of ourselves in our favorite yoga pose.
