Sensory Supplies for Preschool Students

Help me give my students fidgets that will help them learn fine motor skills, speech skills, as well as sensory output skills to become better scholars.

My Students

My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods that require support and resources for learning. One of the biggest challenges my families face is the ability to provide basic resources for their child to help with any need for success in the classroom.

By providing resources like fidgets, chews, and seating options for sensory needs will best support each student with a disability.

A large percentage of our students live in multi-family member homes, foster homes, other family members and friends' homes, and hotels/motels. These students and families may not have the financial freedoms to provide extra resources above and beyond what is in the school already. By helping provide resources for the student's sensory needs will help support both in school and at home. This will allow the student to learn skills to be successful as they grow.

My Project

Each year there are many students with disabilities that require additional resources, such as fidgets, that help support them in learning. Students with such significant needs require piece to chew to strengthen jaw muscles for eating, toys for fine motor skills, and other resources to help the youngest of learners.

These fidgets, chews, and toys will help the youngest of students with disabilities learn living skills to help them grow in their learning.

Children need supports that go above and beyond the typical classroom needs. These supports are what makes special education so special. By helping provide these specific resources, students will be able to learn and work on skill to help them succeed in their school careers.
