Sensory, Success & Learning for All

My Project

All of my students are unique in their way. Many of them need a break away from the rigor of the classroom, and others may need a little extra support within the classroom setting to be successful with their peers. When they come for small groups, I feel that it is important to ensure that they are learning in a style that best fits them.

Emotional regulation is important for the success of a student.

Many of the items on my list are sensory items. Items such as the mini magnet, cloth marble mazes, bendy men, and calming strips will be used by my students when they need a break from the hustle, bustle, and rigor in the classroom. It is important to have a variety of tools that they can use.

I have also included some social skills items, such as emotion games, social skills games, and sentence cue cards, to help support my students with their social-emotional needs and to support them in becoming more secure with their social skills.

Other items such as the LCD boards, table spots, folders and markers will support my students within my classroom for small group work and may be similar to what they are used to in their general education classroom.

My overall goal is to provide my students with the tools and materials needed to be successful in all school settings.
