This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Reading to students is one of the most important, not to mention my favorite, activity to do during library time. The addition of scarves and shakers will allow these storytimes to be filled with dynamic sound and movement.

My goal in making storytime a physical and sensory experience for students is to increase engagement and add a bit of motor skill development as they increase literacy and language skills.

I can't wait to teach my favorite scarf routines and story-related songs that will get them moving and singing, not to mention help them to stay focused as we read and learn together.
