My Project

As a special education teacher, sensory items can really help students regulate their emotions, stay calm and refocus! Sensory items can benefit many students, whether or not they receive special education services.

Many students that receive special education services, spend a majority of their day in a general eduction setting.

Although I have sensory items and tools to help students in my class, I want to create sesory bins to allow students a way to calm down and take a break when they are not with me.

I have been gathering senory toys, fidgets and snacks for students and now I want to organize the items into bins so our paraprofessionals and general education teachers can provide students with the resources they need to be successful.
