My Project
My students have special learning and behavior needs. They struggle sit still in their chairs and focus on their learning. I bought 2 sensory stools that allow them to move while they sit. By allowing them to move while they sit, the stools help students to focus on the task they are being taught. These stools help lead to success in learning. We work together in a small group setting. Each group has 4-7 students. Often their are multiple groups going on at once. These stools will allow multiple students to use the stools at once.
Multiple students will benefit from the sensory stools with movement while they learn.
These stools tilt while they sit on them, so they are focusing on staying balanced without realizing it. Many of my students have ADHD, so this movement allows them to focus on the task rather than their need to move. These stools will be used while students work on reading, math and writing remediation skills in my class.
