This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our amazing students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) come to school each day, ready to tackle whatever may come their way. Many students have sensory needs, which makes it hard to stay focused in class. For students who don't have IEPs, taking the time to connect to their bodies can be equally important.

These sensory hallways will provide stimulation for students who need to refocus their bodies during the school day, and the snacks will help them make sure they have the energy to keep going.

A small shift in the environment and access to something to eat can have a big impact on the outcomes of students.
