Sensory Solutions in Kindergarten!

Help me give my students a classroom that feels like home and meets every student's specific needs.

My Project

My classroom is mine and my students' home away from home. Everything I am requesting has a special place in this home. This means that I know exactly where everything will go and what it will be used for.

The light covers will be put over the harsh florescent lights to give the class a “homey” feeling.

The bean bags will be used in the classroom library and calm down corner to give students a soft workplace. The clear bins will be placed on the shelves in the back of our classroom and will help students see what supplies they have at their disposal. The timer will be used so that my students know how much work time they have left and can see that instead of just hearing it. The sensory bottles will help my students show how they are feeling when they don’t have the words, while also helping them calm down simultaneously! The lap dog and buzzing bee will be used in the calm down corner or taken back to the seat of a student who needs help regulating their body and emotions. Finally, the rainbows and suns will have each kiddos name on it. This will give them a sense of belonging in our classroom home!

While I have this cozy vision of what I want our classroom home to be. I can’t make this happen without your help. So, thank you for considering helping my students feel at home and have all of their sensory needs met!
