Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are amazing kids. They make me laugh and smile every day and I wouldn't want to teach anyone else. They are all on the autism spectrum and have very different needs. The one commonality for all of them is their need for sensory input. Most of them require pressure or squeezes throughout the day.
The body sock is a fun and exciting tool that provides children that crave sensory input, a compression "hug" throughout their body.
They are not restrictive and allow for students to wiggle and move while getting their "hugs".
